Whether you are looking at building for the first time or have decided to build again, at Desire Homes we will work with you every step of the way to make sure the process of building your home is as seamless as possible.

Our Ten Steps to Building with Desire will provide you an easy step by step guide to the process of building your new home with Desire Homes. We will keep you informed on this exciting journey and endeavour to alleviate as much stress as possible to ensure your experience is an enjoyable one.

1. Choose Your Home Design or Custom Plan to Suit

Make a selection from one of the Desire Homes plans available or we can work with you to build from Custom Plans supplied by us. We will help you choose a design with your requirements in mind to suit your specific needs and lifestyle.

2. Select your Home Front Facade

Choose a front facade that is the best reflection of your taste and style. Our façade options will provide impressive street appeal now and in the future.

3. Select your Inclusions to Obtain a Quote

At this stage we will run through our Standard Premium Inclusions list to select what you would like included in your home and if you would like any additional upgrades. From here we will provide you with a written quotation.

4. Meet with a Specialist Consultant

Here we arrange a meeting with one of our consultants to run through the items on our quotation and answer any questions you may have.

5. Accept our Quotation

Now that we have finalised all the selected inclusions for your new home in our quotation, simply accept the quotation to move forward with the building of your new Desire Homes home.

6. Proceed to Pre-Build Requirements

The preliminary agreement includes the initial tasks required to help our building process run as smoothly as possible. We will prepare this agreement for you to sign and return to commence the tasks.

These tasks include obtaining a soil test for your block of land, drafting the working drawings, obtaining an engineered slab design and the energy efficiency report. We will also have our in-house colour consultation to select the colours for the interior and exterior of your new home along with the selection of your fixtures and fittings.

7. Pay your Initial Deposit

It is at this point of the process we require your initial deposit for the preliminary agreement to commence the tasks.

8. Your Building Contract

Your building contract with Desire Homes will be prepared after the preliminary agreement tasks have been completed. We will then present the contract for signing by all parties.

9. Your Home Build Commences

Once the signed building contract has been received and the deposit for the building contract paid we will commence building your new home. You will be updated at every key stage during the course of the building process. Sit back and watch as we transform your dream into a reality.

10. Move in and Start Living

The moment you have been waiting for where we hand over the keys to your new home. We take great satisfaction in knowing we only hand over a home that we would live in ourselves, so you can move in and start living.
